A murder inquiry has been launched after a man was stabbbed in a quiet leafy residential street in Oakwood yesterday (Tuesday) evening.
The 23-year-old victim made his way to Barnet Hospital suffering from stab injuries around 7.20pm where he was later pronounced dead at 8.23pm.
At this early stage, police believe he was stabbed in The Fairways near the junction with Masefield Crescent.
His next of kin have been informed. Formal identification is yet to take place. A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
There have been no arrests at this early stage.
